COVID-19 Statement

As a result of this unprecedented situation regarding the Coronavirus both Tracey and I felt it was important to reassure our clients and customers of the actions we are taking as responsible professionals at this time.

We are closely following and will continue to follow the advice of Public Health England and the World Health Organisation and we have also introduced our own measures to reduce our potential contact and indeed, your potential contact, with ourselves.

We feel it is important that you are aware that we are a husband and wife Chartered Surveyors firm made up of only ourselves and working from our home environment.  This environment is a detached house located in a semi-rural location set within the East Midlands.  We have three siblings, all of which live away from home and we therefore, have little contact externally.

Although Tracey has no need to leave our home office, I will continue to travel to appointments but will reduce the time that I need to leave my car.  This will involve refuelling at “pay-at-the-pump” filling stations, using drive through facilities for refreshments if required and making sure I have the appropriate necessities for my working day prior to leaving home.

In relation to visiting prospective clients, then it is my intention to remove my shoes and leave them externally but also to offer to wash my hands upon entering your property, if so required.

I would also confirm that both Tracey and I would not hesitate to self-isolate if we felt any symptoms or became aware of any contact with this virus on an external basis. We would also expect that any client/customer who maybe self isolating or suspects that they have symptoms of the virus, to advise us accordingly. It is very simple to re-arrange a later appointment.

Please be assured that we will continue to work and visit property as requested by our clients and customers but will do so diligently and professionally.  If you have any concerns and wish to discuss any matter with either Tracey or myself, then please do not hesitate to contact us.

Richard and Tracey Harmer.
